In a bizarre crossover event that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the formal announcement, "A strange confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret cult.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Features
Players who finish the quest will acquire an special katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
