Chopper Twirls Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring over a popular coastal beach unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators observed.
Footage shared on the internet show the helicopter commencing to spiral near the beach then falling in the direction of the border of the coast, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a staircase adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders said five people were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Details on their condition were still under review.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.

Authorities said the aircraft was associated with an regular “Cars and Copters” benefit occasion planned for Sunday.
